Good product but wish stainless HSSWorked ok for what I needed. Grade 8 quality is good but wish it was High Strength Steel HSS to cut threads more precise. Worked on axle but have to make many passes.

Solid construction and easy to use.This thread chaser set is well made with heavy, hard steel in the dies. It WILL NOT cut new threads but it does a great job of cleaning up existing ones and ensuring you don't have to do an expensive axle replacement for the sake of damaged threads. I've used these on metric axles only, but they fit tightly and cut scars/debris easily with minimal turning force.
